Cabbage soup recipe




*Ingredients

°1 cabbage (green or white)
°1 carrot
°1 onion
°1 leek
°1 Potato
°1 tbsp butter
°1 stock cube (vegetable or poultry)
°Salt /pepper

* Methods 

Peeled carrots & potatoes, rinse & cutting carrots to rings also the potatoes into cubes.
Chopping onion also slice leek.
In deep saucepan, bring salt water to a boil.
Removing stalk from cabbage and cut it to 4 and blanch for 5 minutes.
Drain in colander under cold water.
Minced cabbage leaves if desire or cut to small pieces.
Meantime, bring 1.5 L of water to boil and adding chicken broth (I use vegetable broth).
Melting butter in a pot & sautée onions also leek tranches for 5 minutes.
Adding carrots and cabbage. Pour in broth & simmer for round 30 min.
min before end of cooking adding potato cubes.
Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
Serve immediately.
