I made two batches of this recipe in the Dutch oven and whisked them to stir. The first batch I made is as written. It turns out a smooth rich flavour. The second batch I made it as written but added 2 tablespoons brown sugar with white, 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and added a little marshmallows and whisked it with my whisk until smooth and creamy. Mixing may take a full minute after cooking with milk, sugar, and butter.
This made some of the best peanut butter chocolate frosting for my cake.
