SOUTHERN FRIED CATFISH




This traditional recipe for Southern fried catfish is dredged into a pro cornmeal pancake, pro and fried till gentle at the inner and golden brown and crunchy at the outside. Serve this scrumptious fried fish with fried shrimp and top with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, and coleslaw, simply in case! *ingredients :

°2/three cup yellow cornmeal
°1/four cup all-purpose flour
°1 1/2 teaspoons pro salt to two teaspoons/flavor the pro cornmeal and adjust
°1/2 teaspoon black pepper
°1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
°1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
°1/four teaspoon paprika
°2 eggs
°2 teaspoons of warm sauce
°1 pound catfish fillets
°Lemon wedges, tartar sauce and warm sauce for serving

* instructions :

In a brown bag or ziplock bag, upload the cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, lemon and paprika and shake collectively.

In a deep pie plate or huge shallow bowl, whisk collectively eggs and warm sauce.

Add every fillet to the eggs crushed on each sides, then upload to the cornmeal breadcrumbs and shake nicely till nicely covered. Place the steak at the covered baking tray. Repeat with every slice.

Let the fish relaxation for 10 to fifteen mins withinside the refrigerator, then cast off it.
