GRANDMOTHER RED VELVET CAKE


Heat the oven to 350 degrees. 
Beat eggs and add sugar. Mix cocoa and food coloring. 
Add 2 pieces of the butter and egg mixture. Mix well. 
Sift flour and salt together. Adding to creamy mixture alternately with milk. Adding vanilla. 
In a small bowl, mix soda and vinegar and add them to the mixture. 
Pour into three 8-inch round baking trays that have been greased and floured. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until cooked through.
icing:
Mix the cream cheese with a piece of soft butter. Add marshmallows and sugar and mix. Stir with coconut and nuts. Distribute between layers, top and sides of the cooled cake.
