CHERRY BARS FOR A CROWD


*ingredients
 
+Cherry bars:
°1 cup soft butter
°2 cups of sugar
°1 teaspoon salt
°4 large eggs, room temperature
°1 teaspoon vanilla extract
°¼ teaspoon of almond extract
° 3 cups of flour
°2 can cherry pie filling, 21 oz each
+Glaze:
°1 c confectioners' sugar
°Half tsp vanilla extract
°Half a teaspoon of almond extract
°2-3 tsp of whole milk

* Methods :

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 15×10 pan with baking spray.
In  stand blender, cream butter, sugar also salt on medium speed to light also fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, then add the extracts.
Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture until the mixture and dough are homogeneous.
Put 3 cups of dough into the prepared pan.
Spread the cherry pie filling and cover all the dough evenly.
Drop the remaining dough with a small spoon over the filling.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool completely in skillet before glazing.
Glaze:
In a small bowl, mix together confectioners' sugar, extracts, and enough milk to reach desired consistency.
Sprinkle over cooled bars.
