* ingredients:


°1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

°1 1/2 c chop onion

°1 pound ground beef

°2 large garlic cloves, minced

°2 teaspoons paprika

°1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

°1 teaspoon salt

°Half a teaspoon of ground pepper

°1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes, salt-plus, undrained

°1 (8 oz) no-salt-tomato sauce

°1 cup low-sodium beef or chicken broth

°1 1/4 cup whole wheat pasta

°2 tsp grated Parmesan cheese


* Methods :


Step 1

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Add onions and beef. Cook, chopping meat with a wooden spoon, until pink is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Adding garlic, paprika, Italian season, salt & pepper; Cooking, stir, for 1 min. Add tomatoes and their juices, tomato sauce and broth. Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and let the mixture cook for 5 minutes. Add pasta and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until cooked through, 6 to 9 minutes. Remove from heat and leave for 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
