Creamy lemon cheesecake bars have a softer texture than the usual custard texture of a filled lemon slice mixture. She just died when she gave birth to them the first time. A good friend made it for another friend's birthday. I immediately asked her for the recipe as a Christmas present. I kindly complied. they are the best!
* Ingredients :
° 2 cups allpurpose flour
° 1/2 cup powdered sugar
° 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
° 1 package. (8 oz) cream cheese
° 2 eggs
° 2/3 cup (5 fluid ounces) Nestlé Carnation®️ Evaporated Milk
° 1/2 cup granulated sugar
° 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
° 1 tablespoon lemon juice
° 2 tsp lemon peel
° 1 tsp food color yellow (optional)
° 1 cup whipped cream or cold whipped topping
* Directions :
Preheat oven 350 degrees f .
Combine flour / powder sugar in sized bowl. Cut the butter with a pastry blender or knives until fluffy.Squeeze edges up and down 1 "from a 13" by 9 "unexpanded baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes.
Place the cheese, eggs, evaporated milk, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, lemon peel, and food coloring in the mixing bowl; cover, cover. until a smooth mixture. Pour into a partially baked crust.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cooked through. Cool in skillet on wire rack. Spread the whipped cream on top. cool down. cut into bars. Decorate as desired. Enjoy it !
