Hamburger Potato and Cheese Casserole




*INGREDIENTS

°2 cups (500 ml) 1% milk
°4 garlic clove
°3 tablespoons (45 ml) Hellmann's® Real Mayonnaise
°2 pounds (1 kg) all-purpose potatoes, (about 6), peeled and cut into 1/8-inch slices
°1/4 cup (60 mL) gruyere or cheddar cheese shreds

*METHODS

Preheat oven 180°C (350°F). Spray 3-quart (3 L) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray; Reserve.

Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add garlic and Hellmann's® Real Mayonnaise. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes; Reserve.

Alternate a layer of potatoes and the milk mixture in the prepared baking dish. Top with cheese.

Bake uncovered until potatoes are tender and golden, about 45 minutes.
