This is a really fun Easter egg recipe. These devilish egg chicks are a little funny but they will be the talk of your kitchen! Traditional eggs are fun, but this year they come out of your shell (your? ha ha) and turn them into chicks !!

An easy and fun Easter egg recipe. A creative twist on traditional eggs. Devilish egg chicks have been the talking point in my kitchen - the best Easter chicks!

Servings: 12 chick stuffed eggs

Stuffed Egg Chicks Ingredients:

What you need for this Easter egg recipe:

-Sharp knife

- plastic straw

Peel 12 boiled eggs. Use sharp knife, cutting very thin layer from base  egg - this will give it  flat surface to stand on dish . Cutting large third of the egg. Gently squeeze it around the base of the egg to break up the yolk and it should come out. Keep the lids paired with their bases.

In a medium bowl, combine 12 cooked yolks and mash well with a fork. Add 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 1 1/2 tsp. 1 tsp Dijon (or add to taste), 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 1/8 tsp. Salt, or season to taste. Mash everything together until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a ziplock bag or piping bag and pour generously into the egg bases. Place the top 1/3 back on the base and press gently to adhere.

For eyes, pierce an olive with a plastic straw several times and then gently squeeze the straw and small circles of olives will come out. For the beaks, slice a few carrots into thin strips and cut each slice into six. Insert 2 olive spots for the eyes and 2 cut-beak carrots. Putting chicks on  plate also decorate them with freshly parsley OR dill to give them that "free" feeling.

Enjoy !
