Most of us know and love Texas pancakes (thanks to our southern friends!).But when you add nuts, more chocolate and a little caramel will do wonders!I know I like delicious turtle desserts, so eating it as a cake is a victory!I bought small chocolate chips, but you can use full-size ones if you have them.
If at all possible, I recommend saving a slice so you can see what a few hours will do with this crazy good recipe !
* ingredients :
° 2 c (400 g) granuulated sugar
° 2 c self raising flour
° 1 c un-salted butter,
° 1 cup (237 grams) coffee (hot water can be used instead)
° ½ cup (39 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
° ½ cup (120 grams) of yogurt* (see notes)
° 2 eggs at room temperature
powdered chocolate
° ½ cup (57 g) butter
° ½ cup (60 grams) of milk
° 3 tablespoons (22 g) unsweetened cocoa
° 2½ cups (312 g) confectioners' sugar
Turtle topping
° ½ cup chopped walnuts
° Half-sweet chocolate chip cup
° ¼ cup caramel sauce, to drip over
* Directions :
Chocolate cake
Heaat oven 350 degrees F .Use parchment paper on line 10 "line 15" (or line 9 and 13, but the cake will become thicker and messier), and spray the sides with non-stick spray if necessary.Mix flour and sugar in a large bowl and set aside.In a pan, mix 1 cup of butter with 1 cup of coffee (or hot water) and 1/3 cup of cocoa.Bring blending to boil, stir constantly.Pour the warm oil mixture into the flour mixture.Use a hand blender (or manually) to mix the ingredients for about 30 seconds until they are completely mixed. Add milk and eggs.Stir at medium speed for another 30 seconds or until fully mixed.Pour on the prepared baking tray and bake for 2025 minutes.After the cake is baked, when you touch it, it should pull back.The inserted toothpick should be removed as cleanly as possible, preferably some debris.)
Chocolate powder
Mix 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup milk and 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder in a medium saucepan.Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.Remove from the heat and use a whisk to gradually stir the icing sugar, ½ cup at a time.Spread or drizzle the cake with warm decorations.
Turtle topping
While cake is still warm, sprinkle with chopped pecans and then small chocolate chips. Sprinkle with caramel sauce.
