INDIAN FRY BREAD

Delicious Homemade Fried Bread - Akka "Navajo Taco" or "Indian Bread" - Dough pads which are fried till crispy at the outside and soft at the inside. Make it a meal through adding candy or savory toppings!

Fry Bread is one of these novelties that I do not make often, however once I do, it is a actual treat! I do not like fried foods (they make any such mess withinside the kitchen) however it is really well worth it for sure things, like homemade cake or funnel cake or that fried bread.

* Ingredients :

+ Bread
° 2 c flour
° 3/4 teaspoon salt
° 3 teaspoons baking powder
° 1 c warm water
+ topping
° 2 cups pinto beans, soaked overnight
° 1 pound hamburger
° lettuce
° sour cream
° Tomatoes

* Instructions

+ Bread
Mix the dry components and add heat water. Mix together along with your hands till a paste forms. Leave it on for five minutes.
Cut the dough into balls the scale of a golfing ball (or maybe a bigger piece).
Roll the dough into 1-inch-thick circles which are approximately 6 inches in diameter.

Fry every piece in a medium saucepan with warm oil (1 to two inches deep). Fry till the dough is golden and done, then fry on the opposite aspect keeping it withinside the oil. Lay on a paper towel to empty the oil.

+Topping

Place the soaked beans in a crock pot, and cowl with water. Simmer over low warmth till soft (four-6 hours).

Two hours earlier than the beans are cooked, placed 2-three slices of chopped bacon.

* You realize the beans are ripe after they begin to break down
 You also can use tablets from the field for an easier version.
In the meantime. Cook 1 pound of hamburger. Once the beans are cooked, add the hamburgers.
Spread the beans over the fried bread and add preferred toppings.

Enjoy !
